Biography :
Dr. Santanu Das has been appointed as Assistant Professor in the Department of Ceramic Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi, since 2016. Before joining this position, he worked as Research Scientist at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, University of North Texas, USA. Dr. Das did his Ph.D. from Florida International University, USA, in Materials Science and Engineering and did his Master degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University) (formerly IT(BHU), Varanasi) in Ceramic Engineering, respectively. At IIT(BHU), he was instrumental in developing various teaching and laboratory courses and established a research laboratory on Nanomaterials/Nanotechnology and Thin-Films for electronic and energy devices. He also had many administrative experiences at IIT(BHU), at various levels, including as a Coordinator, Convener, Warden, and several others.
